Nautical Home on Lake Minnetonka

The Lake Minnetonka area just outside of Minneapolis manages to quietly achieve lakeside perfection in every season. So it’s not surprising to find this delightful renovated vintage bungalow on a hill overlooking the deep blue lake. This open concept living room has wide-open views of the lake through the wall of french doors and welcomes guests with layers of color and texture. Raffia chairs, leather stools and plenty of kilim pillows give a feeling of year-round warmth.

The casual-but-chic dining area looks comfy enough to stay all day. The painted canoe paddles from Sandborn Canoe Co. are a perfect touch of whimsy in the space and the Porthole Mirrors keep the nautical theme running,

The butler’s pantry is treated in a perfect shade of dark blue: Blue Note from Benjamin Moore. The moody color creates a lovely contrast with the brass fixtures and aged metal countertop.
